Questions & Answers

What Contractors Usually Ask

Straight answers about how the pay-per-show model works.

A show is a qualified homeowner who sits down with you — on a call or face-to-face — for their deck estimate. That's it. If they no-show, you don't pay. The one exception: if a lead lied during qualification (about budget, intent, decision-making authority, or timeline) and it comes out at the appointment, that's on us, not you. You don't pay for a lead that shouldn't have been booked in the first place.

Three things have to be true before we ever put someone on your calendar: they're the homeowner or have the authority to make the decision (for example, a spouse handling the project solo), they're financially ready to invest in a deck, and they have real buying intent — meaning they're actively planning to build or replace a deck, not just browsing ideas. We screen for all three before the appointment, not after.

It means the leads we book for you aren't sold to anyone else. When a homeowner comes through our system, they're matched to one decking company in their market — you — and no competitor of yours ever sees that same lead. Exclusive isn't a marketing word here; it's how the leads are routed.

I'm Samuele Siciliani. I started this after watching my uncle, who runs a decking business, struggle for years to keep his calendar full — not because his work wasn't good, but because he had no reliable way to get in front of homeowners who were actually ready to buy. I got obsessed with fixing that for him: figuring out how to find and qualify the right homeowners and get them on his calendar. Once it worked for him, I built Gate Acquisition to do the same thing for other decking companies.
